LOT OF THREE UNDERHAMMER PERCUSSION PISTOLS. (1) Unmarked, may be an Anderson. Cal. 40. SN 475. With 7″ oct to rnd bbl with turned muzzle, fixed sights, rounded frame with rear saw handle projection, 2-pc walnut grips with flared butt. Made without trigger guard. CONDITION: Fair. Cleaned to bright metal with heavy pitting. Left grip escutcheon replaced. Mechanics are fine. Chipped grip with strong varnish. (2) P.H. Ashton Boot Pistol. Cal. 32 rifled bore. SN 27. Small pistol with 4″ oct to rnd bbl, with the maker’s name on the top left flat, brass grip frame, fixed sights, with 2-pc bag shaped walnut grips, made without trigger guard. CONDITION: Good. Bbl retains blue/brown patina with some heavy pitting. Brass has a dark mustard patina. Grips are fine with about 50% varnish. (3) Ashton’s Very Similar to #2. Cal. 38. NSN. With 6″ oct to rnd bbl, with the maker’s name on the top left flat, fixed sights, brass grip frame, made without trigger guard. It has 2-pc bag shaped walnut grips. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains a smooth silver/brown patina. Grip frame a medium mustard patina. Grips are fine and retain about 85% orig varnish. Mechanics are fine. 4-53954 4-53955 4-53956 JR455 (800-1,200)
