DOG-LOCK CLUB BUTT FOWLING PIECE.

DOG-LOCK CLUB BUTT FOWLING PIECE. Cal. 90. 42” round bbl. Appears to be an assembly of old and new parts. The lock is old, trigger guard and buttplate have an old appearance but do not fit the wood well. The wear patterns on the wood do not fit with that on the metal. The small steel ramrod is an obvious replacement but just barely goes through the ramrod pipes. The bbl is the same diameter from breech to muzzle. Would probably make a good wall hanger in a colonial house. NSN. CONDITION: Very heavily pitted on the lock, pitting on the bbl appears to be from the manufacturer. The top screw on the buttplate is missing and the buttplate is loose. Wood retains most of the current coat of varnish with some artificial wear on the forearm. Evidence of wrapping at the two front ramrod pipes. 4-48435 X50 (1,000-1,500)
