HARPER’S FERRY MODEL 1803 RIFLE. NSN. Cal. 54. 36” part oct bbl. Dated 1814 on the lockplate. Other markings standard. NOTE: Although the lockplate bears the 1814 date, the bbl is the 36”, 7-groove type, not introduced until 1815. There are faint cartouches on the left side of the stock. Ramrod is a replacement. Very good reconversion. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Even brown patina on bbl. Stock has a small crack at the tip of the forearm, otherwise fine. Mechanically fine. 4-58716 FS104 (2,000-3,000)
