PAIRPOINT REVERSE PAINTED LAMP. Rare Pairpoint reverse painted Roma shade is entitled Landing of the Pilgrims. The beautiful shade has curved top and straight sides decorated with bands of lightly colored flowers with yellow borders and each band. Sides are blown out with reverse painted colorful flowers against a background of off-white swirls. One end is painted with an early sailing ship anchored in a harbor while the other end features a Pilgrim man and two women surveying the new land. The exterior of the shade is also highlighted in gold gilt. Shade rests atop its original Pairpoint base with impressed floral design and four arm spider. Base is signed on the underside “Pairpoint Mfg. Co.” with a “P” inside a diamond and “B3053”. Shade is marked on the exterior bottom edge “Patented July 9 1907 The Pairpoint Corp.” SIZE: Shade is 13″ sq. Overall 24″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-66910 (8,000-10,000)
