DIMINUTIVE AMERICAN HEPPLEWHITE INLAID AND FIGURED MAHOGANY CORNER STAND. Circa 1810. Probably New York. Rectangular form with bowed front. Case with a central sham drawer flanked by rectangular paneled string outlines above the central bowed cupboard door of figured mahogany with contrasted stringing, flanked by figured mahogany panels, above a central bowed drawer flanked by similar mahogany panels with string outlines. Whole raised on three frontal square tapered string inlaid legs, the rear on a fourth similar leg. SIZE: 30-3/4″ h x 24″ w x 17″ d. CONDITION: Retains old surface nicely French polished, brass hardware appears original, backboards appear original. Repairs to two of the three front legs at the case with some bracing. 9-91506 (1,500-1,800)
