CASED PAIR FRENCH TARGET PISTOLS. NSN. Cal. .66 multi-rifle bores, 8-7/8″ oct. Damascus bbls. One lock is marked “Trouilleux”, the other is marked “A St Etienne”. In a light oak case lined with red chamois and containing: one loading and one cleaning rod; one mallet with separate handle; one screw top cap box; a screw driver handle, all in a matching white wood; a fancy bullet mold; a blade for the screw driver handle; and a “BOCHE Bte A PARIS” flask. Two keys are present including one large door key that actually works the lock. A covered compartment at the front of the case is empty. CONDITION: Case-hardening on the locks and breech plugs is bright, that on the hammer is slightly dull. Damascus pattern is bright. Wood stocks retain most of their original varnish with slight loss around the base. Case is slightly battered on the outside, with one crack across the lid and missing the key escutcheon on the front of the case. Case also has two cracks across the bottom, making it un-firm. Interior is dirty and faded. Accessories are fine with bright case-hardening on the bullet mold and brown on the flask. FS893 4-47524 (4,500-6,500)
