Large oil on canvas shows early winter scene having snow covered woods and fields, tall trees with some colorful foliage and colorful hills in background. Pastel colored sky. Pencil inscription to back of canvas “Painted by John F. Carlson as a Class Demonstration Woodstock, N.Y. January 12th, Saturday 1924”. Unsigned on front. Grand Central Art Galleries Inc. label on back of canvas. Housed in a period gesso decorated frame, which has been re-gilded. SIZE: 30” x 36”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-94419 (6,000-8,000)
