*ENGRAVED SMITH & WESSON 38 SAFETY HAMMERLESS 4TH MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 38 S&W. Nickel finish, 3-1/4” keyhole ribbed bbl with 2-pc medallion pearl grips. Appears to be factory engraved with about 50% coverage foliate arabesque patterns. The date “8 58” is stamped on the left side of the grip frame under the grip, possibly the date of factory refinish. SN 199335. CONDITION: Fine, all matching except the grips which are unnumbered. Retains 95-97% bright nickel finish that appears to be a factory redo, with some fine pitting on the frame and bbl. Trigger guard and latch retain most of their fine blue. Beautiful colored grips. Worn dark bore, fine mechanics. 4-48103 JR187 (Anderson Collection) (800-1,500)
