JANE PETERSON (American, 1876-1965) VENICE. Fine oil on board. Venice canal scene shows a gondola with figures in front of a series of large houses. The water is green with some reflections. Signed lower left “Jane Peterson”. Inscribed on reverse “with love to my dear Mrs. Chisholm from Jane Peterson, Venice Sept 8, 1922.” Housed in a modern gilt molded wood frame with linen liner.
