SMITH & WESSON ENGRAVED #3 AMERICAN 1ST MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 44RF. Nickel finish, 8” keyhole ribbed bbl with about 75% coverage modern engraving. Fitted with very old replacement, dark yellow ivory grips. Appears to have been converted from a center fire frame. SN 4269. CONDITION: Fine as restored. Mismatched parts with a welded crack in the top strap just above the forcing cone. Latch locking area on the frame has been welded and redressed. Mechanics need adjustment.
