NEW ENGLAND QUEEN ANNE MAPLE AND PAINT DECORATED SIDE CHAIR. The yoked crest above a visiform slat centered by scyma-curved stiles above the trapezoidal rush seat, having block and turned frontal legs connected by boldly turned stretchers ending in Spanish carved feet. SIZE: H (of back) 39-1/2”, H (of seat) 16-3/4”. CONDITION: Chair is in very good overall condition, retaining most of original surfaces and original gilt and painted decoration, red washed original seat appears to be original. No repairs noted to stretchers besides some tightening, and feet appear to retain most of original height. 9-91880 (600-900)
