SWISS VETTERLI BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

SWISS VETTERLI BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 41 Swiss RF. SN 145568. Usual configuration with 33″ oct to rnd bbl, square base front sight/bayonet lug and 1000 meter rear sight. It has 2-pc walnut stock with full-length forearm, square checkering at the receiver end, three bands and wiping rod. The left side of the buttstock is dated “1887” and there are various other small cartouches & stamps on the wood. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains about 95% orig blue, the receiver 40-50% faded case colors and the wood with usual handling & use nicks & dings retains 85-90% orig finish. Appears to be all matching with good mechanics and bright shiny bore. From the collection of the late Bruce McDowell. 4-54633 JR163 (250-400)
