OUTSTANDING NEEDLEWORK DECORATED CRAZY QUILT. Sixty-four diamond shaped blocks surrounded by triangular edge blocks. Each piece has colorful needlework motifs including a U.S. flag, peacock feather, swallow, sumac, fans, butterflies, flowers, birds, people, and more. There is one with a ribbon “ladies’ skating party May 1st ‘82”. The quilt has one triangle dated 1885. A central, large black diamond block with embroidered goldenrod. The black silk border has a gold thread motif. The backing in black with stars. SIZE: 63” x 59”. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-72858 (500-1,000)
