OUTSTANDING CONTINENTAL ANTIQUE CARVED WALNUT CREDENZA. The framed top having a carved molded edge with ogee shaped intricately carved frieze below which are two doors. There are two carved central columns with male figures and women’s masks. A central panel of an angel with spread wings wearing a fruit basket hat having trailing flower vines and fruit garland curtain swags. Raised and carved side panels, the corners having nicely carved figures of nude women with fruit basket and garland. Carved end panels with scroll and flower design. Molded and carved base supported by short feet. Key included. 19th Century. PROVENANCE: From a fine New York City home. SIZE: 34” high x 56” wide x 21-1/2” deep.
