INTERESTING PAINTED AND KNOTTED MISSISSIPPI RIVERBOAT GANGPLANK ROPE. One end fashioned with a metal and canvas ring having several knots. Other end with a Turk head knotted end. Tope in a twisted design with thin rope winding over canvas. Rope is painted in its original red, white and blue colors. This was acquired by our consignor from the family of the Mississippi River boat pilot and believed to pull up and down the boarding gangplank. SIZE: 3/4” dia rope; Approximately 20’ long.
