SWISS VETTERLI BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

SWISS VETTERLI BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 41 Swiss RF. SN 125426. Usual configuration with 33″ oct to rnd bbl, square base front sight/bayonet lug and 1000 meter rear sight. It has 2-pc walnut stock with full-length forearm, square checkering at the receiver end, three bands, missing the wiping rod. There are small cartouches & stamps on the wood. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl & bolt retain a dark brown patina and the receiver a silver crusty brown patina with several small spots of heavy rust. Wood is sound with usual handling & use nicks, dings & scratches, moderate to heavy soil, retaining 50-60% orig finish. Mechanics are a little stiff, probably just in need of oil. Strong bright bore with scattered moderate pitting in the grooves. From the collection of the late Bruce McDowell. 4-54632 JR164 (200-400)
