CHARLES HARRY HUMPHRISS (American, 1867-1934)“APPEAL TO THE GREAT SPIRIT”. Outstanding large Indian bronze signed in base “Ch. Humphriss 1906”. Also foundry stamped “Roman Bronze Works N.Y.”. Bronze shows an Indian warrior wearing traditional leggings and waist cloth. Braided hair and two feathers in back. He stands tall with arms outstretched. He stands on a bronze rock outcropping. SIZE: 30-1/2” h. CONDITION: Fine brown with verdigris highlights. Very good. 9-96781 (6,000-8,000)
