OUTSTANDING CASED WATERLINE MODEL OF THE SHIP “GLADYS”. Three-mast ship flies pennants and flags off mast, fully rigged with no sails. Nice features include woman figurehead, four painted and carved wood people on deck, small steam boat tethered to gang stairway with person, steam and sailor off port bow. Four lifeboats and painted wood sea. At stern of boat there are two life preservers with “Gladys Galveston”. Makers plaque in painted wood in corner “Build. By. F. I. Iensen. U. S. L. S. Station Galveston. Tex.”. Fine carved original case with large cornice molding. Glass top and all sides. SIZE: 20-1/4” h x 33-1/2” w x 16” d. CONDITION: Very good. 9-94180 (3,000-5,000)
