GALLÉ FRENCH CAMEO VASE. Rare Étude vase with wheel-carved lavender fruit and vines on purple to frosted background. Burnt orange wheel-carved leaves at base. Fancy engraved signature on side of vase “Gallé” and “Étude”. Important Gallé pieces that sustained damage in the mfg. process but were deemed by Gallé to be of very great importance were signed Étude and put on the market even though they were damaged in the mfg. process. SIZE: 7-3/4″ t. CONDITION: Two severe full height cracks, many burst bubbles at the foot. 5-62379 (4,000-6,000)
