UNSIGNED (Chinese, 19th Century) CHINESE FIGHTING JUNK. Oil on canvas scene shows a two-mast ship flying a triangular flag with dragon off stern seen outside a small inlet with other sails under a blue sky with morning pink and yellow horizon. Cannons are positioned on the bow with figures beside. Housed in an appropriate replacement carved Chinese style frame. Attached to back is restoration history, also labels from Lockson and the Parker Gallery of London. SIZE: 17-1/2” x 23-3/4”. CONDITION: Very good, relined, restored with inpainting. 9-70975 (3,000-4,000)
