OUTSTANDING AND RARE MARBLE TOP PIERCED CARVED RECTANGULAR CENTER TABLE ATTRIBUTED TO ALEXANDER ROUX NYC. Pierced skirt has scroll and leaf decoration with relief carved head profiles. Top has shaped white marble inset into a conforming carved frame. Turret style corners are supported by a heavy carved leg with scroll foot supported by brass casters. Double cross stretcher supports central shell like design topped by flowers. The family was always under the impression that this was an Alexander Roux table. SIZE: 30 1/4″h x 48″w x 24 1/2″d.
