NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE MILITIA CIVIL WAR EQUIPMENT. The cartridge box is marked “WATERTOWN / ARSENAL / 1864” on the inner flap. It has an original lead backed “NHSM” plate on the front flap. The sheath and frog for the bayonet are unmarked. The buckle has the same “NHSM” marking. The 18-1/2″ bayonet is marked “US / J”. CONDITION: Cartridge box is very good with light cracking and flaking on the edges and front flap. Belt shows considerable flaking and has a 9-1/2″ extension. Both plates are fine with a mellow to dark patina. 4-53122 FS227 (1,000-1,500)
