FINE HAND PAINTED DUTCH PUSH SLEIGH. The boat shaped sleigh with side hand painted scenes of frozen water and buildings with skaters, horse drawn sleigh and animals on each side. The painting is attributed to Friesland. Carved frame with gilt decoration in foliate leaf pattern. Turned banister type push handle at top of back. Back panel dated “1723” and having a swan hand painted cartouche. Interior fitted with opposing plank seat. SIZE: 38” h x 46” l x 19-1/2” w. CONDITION: Very good. 5-71745 (1,000-2,000)
