FINE THREE PART FRENCH SILVER SERVING DISH. Odiot Prevost & Cie. Footed round bowl has two pierced large flat handles decorated with flowers and scrolls. The edge with a angled ribbon reeding. Two sides having an oval cartouche with relief berry and leaf sprays and engraved monogram “V” in a heart. The base marked “Mon Odiot Prevost & Cie 6134” with two touch marks. An inner removable dish liner with the same markings. Domed lid having a large nut finial with leaf burst trim which is held on by a wing nut which is also hallmarked. PROVENANCE: Descended from the Woolworth Collection (FW Woolworth Dept. Store). WEIGHT: 64 tr. oz. SIZE: 7-1/2” h x 9-1/4” dia (without handles); 14-1/2” dia (with handles). CONDITION: Some small dimples, shallow dent to side of liner, and one very small dent on side of cover. Otherwise very good. 9-29501 (2,000-4,000)
