MILTON HORN (American, 1906-1994) GEORGETTE AND PAUL. Authorized copy of a part of Renoir’s Madame Charpentier and Her Children Paul and Georgette which is part of the collection at the Metropolitan Museum of art. The painting canvas has official Metropolitan stamps to the canvas and stretcher. Also on back of canvas is written “Horn – 9/21/48”. The unsigned oil on canvas scene shows two children in blue and white dresses looking at each other. This scene depicts the left side of the copied painting. Housed in a gesso decorated partial gilt and painted frame. SIZE: 24” x 30”. CONDITION: Small slit in lower arm, surface dirt. Otherwise very good. 9-70121 (800-1,200)
