PRESENTATION ANTIQUE BANJO CLOCK. Circa 1815-1825. Probably from the Boston area. Brass movement which is stamped “26” with no name. Old dial having two clock service names, also a small oval sticker “Wm. Senter & Co. 51 Exchange Street, Portland, Maine”. Eglomise rope panel with gold leaf decorated tablet. Bottom tablet having a scene of two ships, the Constitution and Guerriere with a central title “Hull”. Two gold capitols and a central shield with eagle. Gilt front case with rope turnings and block corners having a drop shelf with ball decoration and acorn bottom finial. Weight, pendulum, key and replaced eagle finial are present. Case is in mahogany with a black molded back edge. SIZE: 42” h x 10-1/4” w. CONDITION: Some restoration, generally very good. 9-28287 (2000-4000)
