BOXED HAMILTON SHIP’S CHRONOMETER. The mahogany case opens to reveal a felt-lined interior in which is set another walnut or mahogany case fitted with a 2 3/4” round ship’s chronometer by Hamilton. The silver or nickel cased watch marked on reverse “U.S. Navy 5216”. The works are 21 jewels, with five adjusted positions, and serial #1260492. SIZE: Exterior box 7 1/4” w x 8 1/4” d x 5 1/4” h. CONDITION: Leather strap worn, box and watch in generally very good condition. The watch runs when wound. 9-96939 (400-600)
