*RARE DELUXE SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32-40. SN 136647. Beautiful deluxe rifle with 26” oct bbl, Lyman ivory bead front sight and 3-leaf platinum line express rear sight, the middle leaf is broken. It is fitted with close-coupled bbl set triggers. It has very beautiful shell grain American walnut wood with “H” style checkered forearm and capped pistol grip stock with crescent buttplate. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum letter identifying this rifle and indicating it was shipped January 31, 1902. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain most of their original factory blue with only faint muzzle and sharp edge wear and a small cleaned spot at the end of the magazine tube. Lever, hammer and buttplate retain most of their brilliant original case colors, faded on the outside edge of the lever and dark on the hammer. Buttplate is stunning. Wood is sound with a series of small scrapes down the right side of the buttstock, otherwise both forearm and stock retain most of their bright factory piano finish varnish. Crisp mechanics, brilliant shiny bore. This rifle is nearly new having seen very little service. 4-52462 JR250 (8,000-15,000)
