SIGNED (American, 19th/20th Century) THE MOUNTAIN EXPLORER. Fine oil on canvas scene shows a mountain climber with ice pick atop a snow peak mountain overlooking tall peaks which poke through the cloud mass. The painting is signed lower right what possibly could be H.A. Hennins? or Fennins? The stretcher has a Bay State stretcher stamp and only a fragment of an exhibition label is seen. Housed in a good antique arts and crafts style gilt frame. SIZE: 18-1/4” x 24-1/4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-26441 (2,500-4,000)
