EARLY JAPANESE WATERCOLORS SCROLL. Watercolor on paper scroll in black against a white background shows a number of vignettes depicting various scenes involving people. The scenes include warriors on horseback, musicians, men with bows, men pulling a stone monument, a covered wagon, and more. The scroll is signed with a nine figure vertical signature at left end. The right side is also signed on the outside with the addition of a large chop block. There is an old penned label “4 Pictured by the Tojo(?) Koka-Iu”. SIZE: Approximately 32’ long.
