WILLIAM MASON BROWN (American, 1828-1898) PAIR OF AUTUMN LANDSCAPES. Two fine oil on canvas landscapes. Both showing a river with colorful trees and mountains. One, possibly a Mt. Washington scene having tall mountains and cows in the stream. Unsigned but with an artist name and date “1869” on back stretcher. The other also unsigned with no name on back, has river with two people on far bank and two towns seen in distance. One on left side, one on right side in back of bridge. Housed in identical gilt replacement frames. SIZE: 9-3/4” x 17”. CONDITION: Relined, very good with some inpainting. 9-98003 (4,000-6,000)
