MARGUERITE STUBER PEARSON (American, 1898-1978) CLASSICAL STILL LIFE WITH FRUIT AND WINE. Oil on canvas still life scene shows an alabaster carved compote filled with fruit including pineapple, lemon and colorful grapes. A tall glass of red wine is beside and the left side of the table has two books with a classical marble statue. Light blue Oriental Kimono has been placed on the table. Signed lower right “Marguerite S. Pearson”. Housed in a good carved and painted wood frame with white and gray liner. SIZE: 30″ x 25″. CONDITION: Very good, relined with some inpainting including craquelure. 9-92192 (2,000-3,000)
