GORHAM STERLING SILVER TEA SERVICE. Exceptional sterling tea service has wonderful fruit basket design with floral and scroll trim and topped with carved ivory pineapple finials. Set consists of coffeepot, teapot, creamer & sugar and waist bowl on a matching sterling tray. Included with the set is a matching hot water server that is designed to set in a rocking cradle. The cradle is missing. Each piece is marked on the bottom “Gorham Sterling” and engraved “Blanche M. Halle Cleveland O.” Mrs. Halle of the Halle Dept. Store family was a well known member of Cleveland Society. Along with the tea service we have a copy of a book page with a photograph of Mrs. Halle and a bit of family lore. Total weight of the tea service is approx. 300 troy ounces. SIZE: Coffeepot is 10” t. Teapot is 8” t. Tray is 30” from handle to handle. CONDITION: Some minor scratching to tray, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-71759 (5,000-6,000)
