RARE QUEEN ANNE SILVER COVERED JUG. Robert Cooper, London, 1705. Baluster body engraved with contemporary armorials in rococo foliate cartouches on a stepped round base. One cartouche having a burning box, the other with the coat of arms of Hall impaling Hodges, Co., Somerset. The spout and handle having flame design cut-card work. The hinged cover having a fruit knop. NOTE: An identical pair of the same design and by the same maker in 1703, bearing the Arms of Marlborough were presented to the Right Honorable Sir Winston Churchill, K.G., on his retirement as Prime Minister of Great Britain.
