A large lifeboat is leaving filled with people. Rough seas under dark clouds with a sunlit break. A number of seagulls fly over the scene. Signed lower left and dated “1868”. Housed in a period gilt gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 18-3/4” x 24-3/4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-73753 (5,000-10,000)
