HENRI DE TOULOUSE-LAUTREC (French, 1864-1901) “LA REVUE BLANCHE”. Lithograph printed in colors on two sheets on joined wove paper, 1895 with what appears to be full margins. The following words are found on the lithograph: “La Revue Blanche Bi-Mensuelle Leno 60 Cent. 12 Francs Par An 1 rue Laffitte Paris Charpentier et Fasquelle, Editeurs 11, rue de Grenelle”. Also on edge of bottom right “Imp. Edw. Ancourt. Paris”. Bottom left is circle monogram with “95” in green. Housed in a modern gilt wood frame with linen liner. The lithograph can be seen in its entirety and is mounted on a linen backing. Back of foam core backing has a label from the Obelisk Gallery, Boston, Massachusetts with title and artist. Also an Alon Gallery, Brookline, Massachusetts label. A copy of the original receipt from Obelisk Gallery dated May 4th, 1968. SIZE: 49-1/2″ h x 36″ w. PROVENANCE: From a fine southern Maine coastal home. CONDITION: Under close examination there appears to be several areas along the left border outside of the image that appears to have been restored cracks/tears and the left margin edge has paper restoration. Also, there are discolored adhesive marks and slight brown staining at edges. 9-92947 (17,500-22,500)
