EVANS SECOND MODEL MILITARY RIFLE. CAL. 44 Evans. 30” rnd bbl with the standard marking in one line on the top of the bbl. This rifle was in the U.S. Cartridge Co. collection and has their number stamped on the right side of the stock. CONDITION: Very good. 80% blue on the bbl, 60% on the action. Bright casehardening on the right side of the lever and hammer with pitting on the bottom and rear of the left side. The top of the two halves of the frame has been filed to remove the normal crosshatching. Action is good. 4-52783 FS186 (800-1,200)
