AUGUSTE RODIN (French, 1840-1917) ORIGINAL PLASTER BUST OF MADAME BENGESCU. Titled and signed on right side of neck “M’ Bengescu Rodin”. Well mottled plaster of a neck up bust of a woman’s head. She wears her hair back and looks straight on. Mounted on a stepped wood block. PROVENANCE: Galerie Henri Benezit Paris. SIZE: 8-1/4” h x 6-1/2” d x 4-3/4” w. CONDITION: Nice patina. One chip replaced on back right with two small flecks missing. Otherwise very good. 9-70325 (10,000-15,000)
