JAY ARNOLD (American, 20th Century) “MAURY”. Large oil on canvas portrait of the ship “Maury” shows the oncoming three-mast tall ship in half sail in blue with white capped sea under blue and white sky. The green and red hull emblazoned with the ships name on the bow. Signed lower right “By J. Arnold” and titled on the left. Housed in a weathered molded wood frame with linen and gold liner. Back stretcher having a brief biography of the artist. SIZE: 24” x 36”. CONDITION: Very good with two small repaired punctures with inpainting. 9-72256 (400-600)
