PAINTED AND CARVED CAROUSEL HORSE ATTRIBUTED TO HERSCHEL-SPELLMAN. In galloping stance with head up and mouth open. Nicely carved saddle with eagle back, carved mane with nice facial expression. Front legs are up and the back legs in galloping form. There are glass jewels on the harness. Horses head angles to the right and is painted white with blue saddle. Sits on a custom wood stand for display. PROVENANCE: From a fine Corrina, Maine home. SIZE: 54” l x approximately 40” h. CONDITION: Generally very good, some paint chipping and cracks. 9-28571 (1000-2000)
