MAP: THE CITY OF NEW YORK SHOWING THE BUILDING OF THE EQUITABLE LIFE INSURANCE SOCIETY OF THE UNITED STATE. “Copyright 1876, Currier & Ives N.Y.” The large folio color lithograph shows Manhattan with a birdseye view showing buildings, bridges and ships of every size and description in a busy city port area. Housed in a flat antique frame with white matte. A hand calligraphy title has been pasted to the center of the bottom of the matte. This is a period lithograph. REFERENCE: Conningham Checklist #1113. SIGHT SIZE: 21-3/4” x 34-1/4”. CONDITION: Not examined out of frame, allover foxing and one tear/crease of 2” in upper sky. 9-73315 (1,000-3,000)
