BERGERE OSCAR PERRAULT (American, Early 20th Century) “PETITE SALUR”. Art Deco style oil on canvas scene shows a young woman holding a circular glass goldfish bowl which rests on a round stand. Signed lower left. Titled on reverse of frame which also has a Worcester, Mass stretcher stamp. Housed in a carved wood and partial gilt frame. Perrault was an instructor of the New School of Design, Inc. in the mid 1920’s. He designed costumes and worked at the New School of Design with Norman Rockwell. PROVENANCE: From a Maryland Collection. SIZE: 21” x 15”. CONDITION: Light craquelure, otherwise very good. 9-29640 (400-600)
