BERGERE OSCAR PERRAULT (American, Early 20th Century) COTTAGE WITH FLOWER GARDEN. Oil on canvas summer scene shows Colonial cottage nestled amongst trees next to water. A path leads to the house alongside a large colorful wildflower garden. Signed lower right “B. Oscar Perrault”. Bay State stretcher stamp on back. Unframed. Perrault was an instructor of the New School of Design, Inc. in the mid 1920’s. He designed costumes and worked at the New School of Design with Norman Rockwell. PROVENANCE: From a Maryland Collection. SIZE: 24” x 34”. CONDITION: Some minor inpainting, generally very good. 9-29639 (500-1,000)
