LOT OF 18 SMALL PRINTED CIVIL WAR PERIOD PATRIOTIC STICK FLAGS. A nice representative collection of this Civil War patriotic genre. There are seven very small examples 2” x 2-1/2” with thirteen stars in a circular pattern mounted on sticks (interestingly a few are glued on upside down). Five measure 4” x 3” with thirteen stars in a star type pattern mounted on sticks. One measures 4-1/2” x 6” with a circle, central star and corners stars equaling thirteen on a stick. Five 36 star American flags measuring 5” x 7”. All are printed polished cotton. CONDITION: Various, most maintain their color but all are faded slightly. Only 4 retain their full sticks, others are short or broken of slightly below the flag. A nice small accumulation of these novelty flags. 4-49180 CW (500-700)
