LOT OF NINE MISCELLANEOUS BUCKSKIN & RELATED ITEMS. (1) Buckskin jacket, medium size with fringe & long sleeves with latigo ties on front and four nickeled brass studs, missing several others. Lightly soiled with one small hole, otherwise in fine condition. (2) Pair of buckskin leggings with bars painted on one leg with fringe & horsehair tassels on back. Other leg has four Maltese crosses down each side & has fringe & horsehair tassels. Outside of this leg is missing a long rectangle of leather. Very good. (3) Large pair of homemade saddlebags made from light brown saddle leather with laced edges & flaps with large brass grommets. Moderately soiled & dry. (4) Large early hunter’s possibles & game bag with clever dbl entry, dbl ended pouch made of fine tanned leather with decorated mouth border around draw string pouch. It has front pouch with smaller flapped pouch on outside & a large cloth lined cowhide flap on outside. It has what appears to be the orig shoulder strap, with a small flint or cap pouch on one side. Dry & flaking leather in need of a good treatment but still intact with some losses & loose stitching & hair losses on big flap. (5) Small canvas hunters pouch with plain horn & shoulder strap. Well used & soiled, horn is fine. (6) Small homemade, not old, hunter’s pouch containing flints & lead balls. Moderately soiled but fine. (7) One pound leather shot pouch with 1-1/4 oz. & 1-1/2 oz. measures in fine condition. (8) Hemp desert water bag. Large water bag with rope handle, aluminum filler spout with cork. Lightly soiled but fine. (9) Small old felt hat with silk brim edge missing lining. Some slight mothing & moderate soil, poor condition. CONDITION: As noted above. 4-57677 JR583 (500-1,000)
