ATTRIBUTED TO ABBOTT FULLER GRAVES (American, 1859-1936) “IN AN ENGLISH GARDEN”. Oil on canvas scene shows a seated nude young woman in a forested landscape picking yellow flowers. The painting is unsigned. In pencil on the frame is “In an English Garden by Abbott Graves Gift of ? Abbey?”. Housed in a painted molded wood frame. The family always referred to this painting as being the work of Graves. PROVENANCE: From a Baltimore, Maryland area private collection. SIZE: 24” x 18”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-29622 (3,000-5,000)
