UNSIGNED (American, 19th Century) PORTRAIT OF ISABELLA LOVELACE. Oil on canvas portrait shows a folk art rendering of a small girl in a white lace dress. Curly blonde hair and blue eyes. She sits atop a blue upholstered ottoman. Hands in lap with two fingers showing possibly indicating her age. Housed in a period deep, lemon gold frame with brass corner ornaments. Accompanying this lot is her marriage certificate dated 1879 in the state of New York. Also pictures of her and her husband are included. She died in 1921 and was the mother of Edna Eckert Benson. SIZE: 28” x 25-3/4”. CONDITION: Cleaned, in very good condition. 9-93882 (2,000-2,500)
