EXTREMELY RARE EDWIN WESSON VOLLEY GUN. Cal. 22. 19-2/3” part octagonal bbl, marked “E. WESSON. / MASS / CAST-STEEL” on the top flat. The seven bores appear to be rifled. The action tang, lockplate, and triggerguard are engraved. The buttplate and hammer are not, but both appear to be original. In effect this is similar to the Harrington Volley Gun but this is the first that the cataloger has seen made by Wesson. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina with scattered light pitting. Wood retains much of the original varnish. Action is fine. 4-52569 FS45 (4,000-6,000)
