*RARE SMITH & WESSON PRE-MODEL 44 SINGLE ACTION SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 9mm. Blued steel slide with anodized alloy frame, adjustable rear sight, short safety, long extractor and checkered medallion wood grips. Trigger is single action type with serrated face. This pistol was shipped November 18th, 1960 to Chester Harvie, Ft. Benning, GA for military examination. Accompanied by a silver and blue 2-pc box. SN 1279. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Retains 98-99% original finish to both metal and wood with very minor muzzle edge wear and a couple of small dings to the grips. Box is fine. 4-48239 JR427 (Anderson Collection) (5,000-10,000)
