JAPANESE MATCHLOCK TEMPLE GUN. Cal .65. 29-3/4” oct cannon shaped bbl with silver overlay decoration. These decorations consist of three kanji at the breech followed by a flowering bush Mon and dragonflies carp and flowers running to the muzzle. Only the Mon is complete with virtually all of the dragonflies and most of the first fish missing their silver. The rocks and water are also mostly missing the silver. The black lacquer stock has three Tokugawa Mons, a large Mon on top and smaller ones on each side. The gold on the top one has mostly worn off. The ones on the side are very good. The pan cover, match holder and associated screws and pins are replaced. NSN. CONDITION: See above for missing parts and finish on bbl. Stock is broken at the tang and has numerous chips and scratches in the lacquer finish. Mechanically not working due to replaced parts. Ramrod and bbl keys are also replacements. 4-50028 X20 (3,750-4,250)
